Early November the Lucere Labs team met at Crane Ramen to discuss the idea of a company over dinner. On November 18th, we finalized incorporation of our company.
January 1st, 2020
We kicked off 2020 by bootstrapping some tests of our novel synthesis in a precarious home-lab. We were devoted to being sure of our science before moving forward.
January 20th, 2020
Lucere Labs is fortunate to be located near one of the top public Universities in America, also known for it's impact on innovation in commercial technologies. We began talking with UF Innovate to discuss how we could utilize available resources to speed up our research & development.
February 1st, 2020
As our bootstrapped home lab proved inadequate for more complicated chemical procedures, we decided it was time to move into our own lab. Lucere Lab's home is located at UF Innovate | The Hub.
February - April, 2020
Last February our first major piece of lab equipment arrived in the mail: a rotary evaporator. In the following months we continued to build out our lab and standard operating procedure.
April 28th, 2020
On April 28th, it was announced that Lucere Labs won Best Technology Venture award in the UF Big Idea competition.
Successful test runs of early proprietary buffers are completed at Lucere Labs.
Lucere Labs begins work on an advanced photometer software to be used in conjunction with Lucere Chemistry in the first Lucere Labs measurement tool.
The chemistry team begins manufacturing the first batch of D-Luciferin.
The Lucere Labs web store opens for business.
